This DIY tinted lip balm from wearesovegan.com is rich, smooth and nourishing. It’s as good as anything you’ll ever buy in the store. The best part is that it requires only a few inexpensive, easy-to-find ingredients. I like it for myself and to make in a cutesy container to give away as gifts. Give this recipe a whirl and let us know in the comments below how much you totally love it!
Ingredients
- 1 tsp shea butter
- 1 tsp candelilla wax
- 2 tsp coconut oil
- ¾ tsp hibiscus powder
- a few drops rose oil
Instructions
- Add an inch of water to a saucepan on a medium heat. Then place a glass or metal bowl in the mouth of the saucepan and add the shea butter, candelilla wax and coconut oil. Stir occasionally until fully melted, then add the hibiscus powder and rose oil. Stir until fully combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a small airtight pot and leave to set. Note: this mixture solidifies quickly so you’ll need to be fast when transferring it from the mixing bowl to an airtight pot.
