Offering shoes and handbags that are carefully crafted with a proprietary blend of marine plastic and Rothy’s signature thread, which is spun from single-use water bottles this company is more than impressive.
Specifically, Rothy’s collects marine plastic within 30 miles of coastlines and marine environments. The bottles are then spun into a thread. Then using the innovative technology of 3D knitting, Rothy’s knits the most fabulous bags and shoes. The transformation of bottles to fabulous pieces is short of amazing.
Plus it keeps getting better. Rothy’s products are even shipped responsibly. Using boxes made from 100% recycled materials that are biodegradable and sturdy enough to be recycable Rothy’s is offsetting carbon emissions in more ways than one. Also, Rothy’s bags and shoes are machine washable.
Now as much as I am stoked about Rothy’s creative use of technology in fashion, I am just as amped about their design choices. I absolutely love their shoe line. It’s minimalist vibes meet classic chic. I am particularly fond of The Chelsea, The Lace Up, Triple Band and The Loafer.
The bag line is just as smashing. It boasts the same classic fab vibes of the shoe line. I’m absolutely loving the Reversible Tote and the Handbag. Not only are Rothy’s bags quite the statement piece, but they are a durable as they are beautiful.
