Panera is a well-known takeout fan favorite. However, for vegans Panera's menu has usually been a mild annoyance, containing zero meal items for us to choose from. However, that has all changed. CNBC reported that Panera has committed to making 50% of its menu plant-based by 2021. That is fantastic news and much of the vegan community is literally sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for this blessed day.
