Pieology Pizzeria is an American pizza chain with more than 140 locations in the United States. Pieology offers individual, artisan style pizzas, which are baked in a high-temperature open-flame oven and now include several vegan options.
Recently, Pieology has begun to expand their vegan offerings beyond just veggies and vegan cheese to include three plant-based meat options. The new toppings are vegan, non-GMO verified and cholesterol free. They include diced chicken, spicy Italian sausage rounds and beef meatballs.
Additionally, select Pieology locations offer the well-known plant based cheese brand, Daiya cheese as a vegan cheese option. Meanwhile, Pieology’s veggie toppings, red sauce, olive oil, barbecue sauce as well as its gluten-free crust are all vegan.
How It Works
Pieology allows customers to choose which ingredients they’d like on their pizza in the manner of a service assembly line. So the staff assembles the pizza based on the customer instructions.
That said, ordering a vegan pizza at Pieology is simple. Opt for the following:
- Gluten free pizza crust (currently the only vegan option available)
- Your choice of vegan sauce (choices include House-Made Red, BBQ, Fiery Buffalo, and Sunflower-Olive Oil Blend)
- Daiya mozzarella (currently the only vegan cheese option available)
- Choose your veggie toppings (consist of a wide variety of veggies, some of which include black olives, mushrooms, red onions, green peppers, artichokes, garlic, jalapeños, fresh cilantro, spinach, banana peppers, fresh basil, grape tomatoes, and roasted red peppers)
- Choose your protein toppings (choices include vegan meatballs, vegan spicy Italian sausage rounds, and Gardein vegan diced chicken)
- Choose after-bake sauce to be drizzled atop your pizza (choices include extra virgin olive oil or BBQ, Fiery Buffalo, or House-Made Red sauce)
With options like these it will definitely be difficult to choose. It will also be a welcomed challenge because the reward will be absolutely delicious.
