If you haven’t yet gotten on the kombucha train, then you have been seriously missing out. Not only is kombucha a fan fav for gut health, it’s even more popular for it’s immune-boosting probiotics. Probiotics populate your gut with bacteria that is essential for maintaining a healthy immune system, proper brain function, clear skin, and a functioning digestive system.
While you can get a healthy dose of probiotics from yogurt, kombucha is a dairy free, plant based source. Kombucha also contains fewer calories and fat than an equivalent amount of yogurt.
Since about 3 years ago, kombucha became one of my favorite vegan beverages. It has totally changed my perspective on carbonated drinks. Since trying kombucha I haven’t even thought about soda. In fact, soda is just too far beneath my kombucha. Kombucha gives me the fizz of soda with the added benefit of probiotics.
So if you haven’t already done so, try kombucha for health. Taste test a few brands to see which one you like best. You can find kombucha most anywhere. It’s definitely at your local grocer and you may even find it at Target.
