Richmond Sausages announced Tuesday that it will launch it’s Meat-Free Frozen Sausages in twin value pack format. The twin pack will contain 16 sausages. Richmond Meat-Free value pack frozen sausages is set to launch in Tesco and ASDA in June.
It comes as no surprise that Richmond has joined the likes of Beyond, Quorn, Gardein and Wegmans in offering value pack meatless products. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic this is a welcomed offering that helps retailers cater to larger families and offer shoppers greater value, ultimately resulting in fewer trips to the store.
In a statement to Plant Based News, Victoria Southern, marketing and category director at Kerry Foods (which owns Richmond), said “We’re really excited to be building upon the strong growth of our Meat-Free range to date by introducing two brand new formats to help retailers make the most of the demand for plant-based products.”
This recent launch is the perfect follow-up to last year’s hugely successful launch into the meat-free category. According to Retail Times, since then Richmond Meat-Free Sausages has become the second best-selling meat-free product in the market with £1.7m RSV – equating to 10% of the meat-free sausage category in just six months. Last year’s successful launch also resulted in a 4.4% increase of new Richmond shoppers exclusively buying Richmond Meat-Free.
The demand for meat-free foods is steadily growing and the launch of Richmond Sausages launch comes just in time to answer the call. Be on the lookout for the Richmond Meat-Free value pack launch at a store near you.
