- Committed to 100% certified sustainable palm oil by 2021. In 2014 Safeway surpassed its first goal of sourcing 1 million pounds of responsibly produced palm oil by sourcing over 2.7 million pounds.
Albertsons continues to honor its’ commitment to integrating sustainability into their everyday business decisions. Most recently, they were among the first companies to lead in making accommodations for seniors in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, adding “Senior-Only Shopping.”
These are all the reasons why Albertsons Companies is our ethical grocer of the week. We look forward to Albertsons Companies continued efforts in being an ethical grocer.
