So this week I tried the Alpha Burger Crispy Chik’n for the first time. This scrumptious patty of goodness is a tender breaded, meatless chik’n patty. Since being launched it has gotten rave reviews so I couldn’t wait to try it for myself.
Let me tell you, this patty was pure satisfaction. Alpha Foods nailed the texture, taste and delight factor. The serving size wasn’t half bad either. In fact, it’s larger than competing brands of meatless chik’n patties, which was a welcomed plus. As for taste, I was sold on the first bite in. Tender, juicy, mouthwatering and addictive. After the first bite I really could not put this patty down.
The Alpha Burger Crispy Chik’n is soy protein and textured wheat protein based. The ingredients are impeccable as well as the nutritional punch. Each patty contains an impressive 13 grams of protein as well as 50 milligrams of calcium and 270 milligrams of potassium. How’s that for a nutritional bang?!?!!
It’s not exactly the most accessible. I haven’t seen in at any of my local grocers. However, I did find it at the health food store. While it may not be all that conveniently accessible once you get your hands on it, it’s very easy to prepare. You can either cook it stovetop, in the microwave or oven. Stovetop or in the oven it cooks in under 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in the microwave it cooks in just under 2 minutes. However, you’ll get best results preparing it stovetop or in the oven.
Now the only gripe that I have is that only 3 patties come in a pack, which I find very odd. Other brands have 4 in a pack. So I’ve come to expect that amount. Besides that, three is just a really wierd amount.
Nonetheless, I am a lifelong fan of the Alpha Burger Crispy Chik’n and will absolutely be adding it to my grocery list quite often. If you haven’t tried it yet, trust that it’s a must try for vegans and non-vegans alike.
Have you tried the Alpha Burger Crispy Chik’n? Thouhts???
