Cooking is the ultimate self care. In fact, it’s self care at its best. Besides that, you won’t be hurting anyone by giving yourself a reason to brush up on your culinary skills.

Cooking your own homemade meals is good all the way around. It enables you to control what’s going into your food. You get the benefit of healthier, more nutritional meals.

Plus, I find cooking to be very satisfying. There’s something about connecting with the food that I am consuming. Cooking allows me the opportunity to do this. Homecooked meals can be the most soul satisfying.

I also enjoy how cooking allows me to get my creative juices flowing. When you cook your own food you get to be as creative as you want. There are no rules. There are no limitations and the sky is the limit.

I must admit that I also like to show off my culinary skills when cooking for others. There’s nothing better than seeing the look on your family’s face when you’ve really outdone yourself on a meal.

Though, best of all is the joy that you get from cooking during the holidays. Homecooked holiday meals make the occasion all the more special. It brings family and friends together, while imparting a special part of you in them that they will always treasure.
