so i know that at some point in our lives we’ve all heard the saying, “never give up, keep trying.” however, what does that really say to us and how do we really process that phrase? let’s see…. one definition of “trying” is… straining one’s patience and goodwill to the limit. now i don’t know about you, but to me that doesn’t sound like anything that i want to do, especially to the end of actually achieving something. so why are we always trying rather than doing?

so this is sort of a continuation of my last post…. i notice that so many people seek to find their happiness and fulfillment in so many external sources such as pets, cars, houses, jewelry (though i admit a few karats of gemstones will always bring a smile to my face! LOL), significant others, friends, family, jobs, awards, titles, status, spirituality, yoga, vegetarianism, 6-pack abs (oooohhh but i do like those myself LOL), and the list could truly go on forever.

When Friends Start To Disappear
friendship is the topic of today. so do you ever notice as you grow on your path that you sometimes lose some friends along the way? i certainly have noticed it lately. it seems like i just woke up one day to find that many of the friends who were once my aces, my besties, my right hands were no longer in the picture and what’s funny is that i hadn’t even noticed that it happened. it just sort of happened one day that i was in a new reality without them in it.
