Our review of Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen cookbook…
Richa is most well-known as the blogger, VeganRicha. Those who are fans of her blog undoubtedly enjoy that Richa’s passion for veganism is as strong as her passion for native Indian cuisine. Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen exquisitely displays the fusion of these passions.
Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen cookbook is comprised of a savory array of dals, curries, flat breads, breakfasts and snack recipes that eloquently translate the language of deliciousness to every tastebud. Richa provides an absolutely scrumptious experience of Indian culture down to the last morsel.
Having taken some Indian food cooking lessons I greatly appreciated the educational aspect of the cookbook. At the outset Richa thoroughly provided a comprehensive overview of Indian spices, the types of commonly used grains, flours, beans, lentils and peas required to make the most authentic Indian dishes. These things are the foundation of Indian cooking so the educational process was greatly appreciated.
Richa Mango Chickpea Curry is one of my favorites. The ingredients were easy to find and the instructions were easy to follow. Moreover, this recipe prominently displayed Richa’s creative use of spices and flavors. This recipe tasted just like something that I would enjoy at my favorite Indian restaurant.
If you’re up for a culinary adventure of flavor, spices, and vegan Indian cuisine than Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen is perfect for you. Even if you are not the best cook, Richa’s command of Indian flavors and cooking techniques will effortlessly qualify your chef status. Richa really sets readers up for success.
