Dynasty is the CW’s modern version of the 80’s classic, Dynasty, revamped. Dynasty, starring Elizabeth Gillies (as Fallon Carrington) and Grant Show (as Blake Carrington), is a delightfully light-hearted show about two feuding wealthy families, the Carringtons and the Colbys. The families feud for control over their fortune and their children.
Told primarily through from the perspective of Fallon Carrington, daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington, Dynasty features the glitz and gloss of extreme wealth, but also exposes the dark underbelly of a corrupt world built on backroom deals.
This show was surprisingly entertaining. I initially passed over it assuming that it was another corny, badly written drama. However, one day I decided to check it out and to my surprise the show was quite captivating. What I love most about the show is how the plot is continuously thickening. Every episode keeps you on the edge of your seat anxious to see what will happen on the next episode.
With Dynasty there is never a dull moment. So if you like drama, intrigue, and are a fan of ever expanding plot twists than you will love Dynasty. It’s drama with a side of comedy making for a very satisfying bingeworthy watch. Get you popcorn and get comfy because when you turn Dynasty revamped on you won’t be able to turn it off.
