There are times when life circumstances can hit you like a ton of bricks. No matter what you do, nothing seems to make a difference. It is during these times that you feel so small. However, when life makes you feel small consider the mosquito.
Yes, the mosquito. A mosquito is a very small creature, but boy oh boy does it make it a huge impact. A mosquito bite can wreak havoc in your life. It can either result in an annoying itch or be as fatal as death.
You and the mosquito actually have much in common. Like the mosquito, the impact that you have in making a difference in your life is all up to you. Decide on your objective. Set your intention and be the force that you want to be.
Stop being the victim. Instead, shift the focus away from how insurmountable your problems are and parse out each aspect of the problem and make it your victim. Remember that you are inherently a predator. Become the predator once again and strategically tackle your victims/problems one at a time.
Consider that female mosquitoes bite because they need human blood to develop fertile eggs. Well, you need your desires to become a fertile reality. So develop a laser focus and begin to see that your problems are your victims, not your weakness. They are the means to birthing your desires.
Problems + Solutions = Favorable Results
Now, having reawaken your inner predator, strategically choose which problems or which approach to a problem to bite and that will yield the most fertile/favorable outcome. You are a creator. Your ideas/desires are born into reality when you set your intention for it to be so.
So when life makes you feel small remember the mosquito….
“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.” – Dalai Lama
